This amiable feline was created as a template for drawing different patterns onto; he is one of a set of bright creatures with matching bemused expressions and contrasting Klimt-inspired coats. I rather like him, perhaps more than his brothers.
I had the idea recently of re-drawing him and putting him into a ‘proper’, well thought-out image; something that you might imagine going on a mug. Not that I have any intention at the current time of producing a range of china – it’s just helpful to imagine a use for an image when you’re making it. Otherwise I end up pottering around aimlessly and nothing ever goes beyond the sketch stage, because why would it?
So Triangle Cat has been given a little makeover, which I shall unveil shortly (once I’ve got to grips with the new gouache paints I recently acquired and am still somewhat uncertain as to the use of).
